Conservatorio

Among the narrow streets of the old town, the heart of the ancient city, on the ridge which slowly slopes into the Sorrento sea, in the town center, there is a square dedicated to the patron Saint Antonino, home to the homonymous basilica and the town hall.

Maison “Il Conservatorio” is an ideal bridge between past and modernity, between evocation and renewal. It occupies a part of an ancient building, with a prestigious aesthetic, donated in 1566 to the city community by the noblewoman Bernardina Donnorso, with the aim of establishing a "pious place" for the poor girls of Sorrento and a religious house for all those who intended to undertake the monastic life.

Since then, the imposing building, due to a series of disputes, has kept intact its original peculiarities as a place intended for reception and education.

Since 2019, a part of the building, accessible from Via San Francesco, is destined for accommodation: Maison Il Conservatorio. It is a modern structure, with ancient characteristics, for a unique and unforgettable experience.

Moreover, this boutique hotel is in a privileged position, which allows you to experience the center of Sorrento with easy access to the beaches and all the points of major tourist and cultural interest.
